And when Main street was restored, Melrose held a “THANKSGIVING PARTY IN AUGUST” to give THANKS to ALL of the WONDERFUL FOLKS  who helped transform our Main street into a wonderful “meeting place” . The grand new recreational-park complex was initiated in style –and continues to be a source of pride & good times for Melrose folks & our visitors.
